Karamjit Singh, who was martyred in Pakistani firing

An army jawan Karamjit Singh was martyred and three other jawans were critically injured in the unprovoked cross border firing in Rajouri district on Monday. Pakistani forces violated ceasefire early this morning by firing mortar shells in Keri Battal area of Sunderbani sector. "A soldier was killed when Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation around 5.30 a.m. today. The Indian Army retaliated effectively," an army official said.

Pakistan increased ceasefire violations since Balakot airstrike

Pakistan is continuously violating the ceasefire agreement since the Indian Air Force did Balakot airstrike and destroyed the terrorist camps in Pakistan and its occupied territories to avenge the martyrdom of 40 CRPF soldiers.

Abhinandan released by Pakistan but backstabbing continued

Amid growing tension and global pressure Pakistan was forced to relieve the IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman though Pakistan Prime Minister dubbed as a "peace gesture". But Pakistan continued targeting army posts and civilians in the border areas.

There is a spurt of cross border ceasefire violation since the Balakot strike took place. Though Pakistan was showing that it does not want the escalation of tension between India and Pakistan yet continuous targeting across border areas is giving different indication altogether.
