In the election season, political parties are continuously diving to the lowest level; especially the Kashmir based political parties are doing everything from supporting terrorists to speaking in favour of Pakistan. This time the National Conference (NC) MLA Akbar Lone stooped down to the lowest level, who recently raised controversial slogans ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ at a public meeting in Kupwara on Saturday. Muhammad Akbar Lone is the National Conference parliamentary candidate for Baramulla constituency. Lone said when the opposition chanted ‘Pakistan Murdabad (Death to Pakistan)’ slogans, he said, "I replied back with Pakistan Zindabad (Long Live Pakistan)”. He was citing an incident that had happened inside the J&K assembly.
He said, “When I walked out of the assembly, I was hounded by media persons who asked me about the slogan raised by me inside the assembly. I again replied, Pakistan Zindabad,” he said. Referring to Pakistan, he added, “the nation across is a Muslim nation, If I abuse them, it means I am abusing myself”. He added, ‘whoever hurls abuses at Pakistan, I will abuse them back’.
