Intelligence agencies put Kashmir valley on high alert during Ramzan

Intelligence agencies have alerted about the possible terror attack on defence installations on May 23, when the Lok Sabha election results will be declared. According to the sources, Pakistan based terror group Jaish-e-Muhammad with ISI support is planning an unprecedented attack in Kashmir valley. The Kashmir Valley has been put on a 3-day alert. As per ANI, the terrorists are likely to target Srinagar and Awantipora air bases.
 
 
 
Incidentally, May 23 is also the 17th day of Ramzan, which is also the day of the battle of Badr or Jang e Badr that was fought in 642 B.C. It is considered as one of the key battles in the early days of Islam and is considered a turning point in Mohammad’s struggle with the opponents which led to a decisive Muslim victory.
 
 
 
Alert has been issued specifically for National Highway, South Kashmir & some key installations of Indian Army, Air Force, and J&K Police.
