While slamming the “Gupkar Gang”, Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday hit out at People’s alliance of Gupkar Declaration for their “global gathbandhan” that seeks support from ‘foreign forces’ and works against the nation’s interest. Terming this alliance of political parties of J&K as “unholy”, the Home Minister said that since Gupkar Gang not only insults tricolour but wants foreign forces to intervene in J&K, it is high time that Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi make their stand ‘crystal clear’ before the nation.

Amit Shah on Tuesday took to his social media handle to assert that “Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and will always remain so”. Hitting out at the “unholy gathbandhan” of Gupkar Gang, Shah gave a clear message to the parties involved that Indians will no longer tolerate anything against national interest so either this “gang” swims along the national mood or the people will sink it.

Exposing the real intentions behind this alliance, the Home Minister called out the Congress and the Gupkar Gang who are conspiring jointly to "take J&K back to the era of terror and turmoil".

While questioning the People’s Alliance of Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) for ‘going global’, Shah specifically asked Congress leaders to make its stand clear before the nation. He asked Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi if they supported the moves of this “gang” that seeks support from ‘foreign forces’ to intervene in Jammu and Kashmir.

Referring to the anti-national remarks of the Gupkar Gang in recent most times, Shah notified that not only the unholy ‘global gathbandhan’ insults tricolour but works against our national interest.

However, shortly after the Home Minister slammed the ‘Gupkar Gang’ over the social media, PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti targeting the BJP commented on her social account that “BJP can stitch as many alliances in its hunger for power but somehow we are undermining national interest by putting up a united front.”

The Gupkar Gang, People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration is an alliance of six parties, which was formed in October with the agenda of reinstating the now abrogated Article 370 of the Constitution. While the Congress party was originally a signatory of the ''Gupkar Declaration'', it later maintained a distance from the tie-up but has now, however, decided to contest elections together.
