As the world continue to helplessly watch rising number of corona positive cases, the death toll has crossed 31000 worldwide while registering a first royal death from Spain. India is fortunately not facing the threat to the extent other nations are dealing with currently, but the fear is fuelling as the situation is getting tense with every day. This morning Jammu and Kashmir has reported a second death from COVID-19, of a 52 yr old from Srinagar who had no travel history or contact with any positive case.
 
 
The man, a resident of TangMarg area in Baramulla district, was suffering from a liver ailment and was admitted to Srinagar's SMHS hospital last week. He had no travel history or contact with any COVID-19 positive case and passed away in less than 12 hours of testing positive for the deadly infection.
 
 
The number of COVID-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir is now 38 registering 24 positive cases in the last 36 hours. Five more cases have been identified since morning today.
 
 
The novel coronavirus is showing no indication of slowing down as it continues to affect 663,740 people worldwide causing a shocking 30,879 deaths so far. Many countries including India are under complete lockdown to combat the pandemic.

Spain's Princess Maria Teresa became the first royal in the world to die from the COVID 19 after she contracted the disease from her a few days back. She was 86 and her brother Prince Sixto Enrique de Borbon, the Duke of Aranjuez, disclosed the information on social media. Princess Maria Teresa a professor at Paris' Sorbonne as well as a professor of Sociology at Madrid's Complutense University was known as the Red Princess due to her strong social activism and frank opinions. She is survived by several nieces and nephews of the royal family of Spain including the current Prince Prince Jaime de Bourbon Parme.
 
 
Currently, Spain ranks fourth behind USA, Italy and China in the number of coronavirus patients that stands at 73,235 with 5,982.
 
 
The numbers of COVID-19 patients worldwide are rising uncontrollably, and India’s tally of positive cases has also crossed 1000 with over 180 fresh cases in 24 hours. Meanwhile civil as well as uniformed forces are doing every bit to take control of the situation and keep the community spread at bay. Strict orders are being practised across states and union territories to prevent the entire country from slipping into the community transmission stage.
