After the BSF early on Saturday morning shot down a Pakistani spy drone carrying weapons, at the border outpost Pansar in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, Inspector General NS Jamwal of the Border Security Force has revealed that the kind of weapons recovered from the spy drone indicate Pakistan’s intention of trying to create a major incident in the region.

Earlier today at around 5.10 am, the BSF in BoP Pansar of Kathua shot down a Pakistani spy drone carrying weapons such as magazines, ammunition, and grenades. As per initial reports, the patrolling party of BSF from 19 Battalion when spotted a Pakistani drone flying in the Rathua area of Hiranagar sector, it immediately fired eight to nine rounds on it, thus shooting it down successfully.

On examination of the payload of the shot down the drone, a US made M-4 rifle, two magazines, 60 rounds of ammunition and seven grenades were found, according to police officials.

According to NS Jamwal, Inspector General of Border Security Force, Jammu Frontier, the drone undoubtedly came from Pakistan and the kind of weapons recovered show the possibility of an attempt to create a major incident in the region.

However, the BSF on tracing the spy drone promptly shot it down thus foiling another attempt of Pakistani agencies trying to cause disturbance and violence in J&K by dropping weapons and arms in a cowardly act across the border.

As per the primary investigations, the consignment was for some 'Ali Baba' as the payload carried his name. The drone is eight-feet wide blade-to-blade and seems to have been controlled by the Pakistani picket opposite the Panesar Post of the BSF on this side of the Kathua sector, said the officials.

Meanwhile, Pakistani agencies’ another attempt to drop weapons across the border using a drone has now been foiled by the BSF, the recovery of weapons indicates how Pakistan is looking for desperate chances to create havoc in the region by any means possible while trying to smuggle weapons across the border to back its terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Only a few months back, similar weapons were recovered from the terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammad, who during an infiltration attempt from across the border along the Line of Control at toll plaza, Nagrota were gunned down by the security forces.
