On quoting 'Ayurveda' medicine as quackery, Wikipedia has yet again come under the radar of many due to its propaganda-led-misguiding content, which is not first of its kind, and thus has triggered fresh debates around the bogus and biased pieces of narratives that it provides on the name of being an open-source of information. Recently, when someone first highlighted this offensive remark about 'Ayurveda' through a post on social media giant Twitter, dozens of people reacting bluntly slammed Wikipedia while calling it a ‘Marxist-Mullah-Missionary’ propaganda machine and even demanded strict action against it for repetitively putting across such false reports and baseless facts which is a direct attack on the sentiments of a million.
Although recognized by WHO, Wikipedia is considered an authentic source of information in India because it is licensed here, however, it spits only poison against India. Engaged in spreading Hindu-phobic propaganda, Wikipedia with its misguiding information is not only maligning the image of India before the world but is also denigrating Hindu beliefs and Hinduism.
On one hand, the editors/contributors of Wikipedia do not shy away from glorifying anti-Hindu theories, on the other, they hesitate to even make note of fact-based information, hence encouraging fake narratives. For instance, it explains Ayurveda as an alternative medicine system characterized as “quackery” by the Ayurvedic practitioners, a piece of information that is utterly baseless. On top of it, if someone visits the page to correct this, they do not get access to it as Wikipedia has locked the page to secure its scam. On the other hand, explaining Unani medicine (An Arabian/Islamic medicine), Wikipedia refers to it as scientific medicine, even though for the records, it was apparently stolen from the former.
Yet, for Wikipedia editors Ayurveda is quackery but Unani medicine is NOT.
For those who still rely on Wikipedia, it not just misrepresents facts but also compromises massively on true narratives. Instance, Delhi riots 2020
Wikipedia has long attacked Hindu writers and scholars which deeply raises doubts in its authenticity for those who count on it for accurate information. With its long-running agenda, the real intent of Wikipedia founder, its editors, and contributors is now exposed in open, and hence one should beware of false reports and biased content that is presented by Wikipedia in the public interest.
Be its narrative on ‘Ayurveda’, Delhi riots 2020, Hinduism, the ancient history of India, or our cultural heritage and old beliefs, Wikipedia misrepresents each information extending its support only to anti-Hindu narratives while approving opinions that give rise to notions such as Hindu-Phobic propaganda.
After the Delhi riots in Feb this year especially, the online source of information Wikipedia, was publicly exposed over its biased approach and fabricated lies when the editor of ‘OpIndia’, Nupur Sharma in her post declared Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales as manipulative and even busted their pro-Islamist and anti-Hindu network. Although it came much later in the notice of everyone that post the riots, Wikipedia very conveniently had branded Delhi riots into an anti-Muslim pogrom while the international media and media propagandists in India too did not lag behind in projecting the violence as that initiated by anti-Muslim elements.
Although, massive casualties had been reported from all sides, and Hindus were specifically brutally murdered by Muslim mobs as part of a huge plotting. Few killings that haunt till day were that of a government official, who was first killed mercilessly and then thrown off in a gutter. His body with signs of multiple stabbing could be recovered days later. Another Hindu boy was burnt alive during the riots along with many such reports that find no place in such self-driven theories by Wikipedia. And this was why voices had been raised for its license to be canceled and strict action be taken against it.
In the wake of Ayurvedic medicine being referred to as quackery, many sentiments have been hurt again and similarly, voices are being raised demanding cancelation of Wikipedia’s license. It is certainly the time when the nation must unite against such lame self-acclaimed sources because we neither can allow any attack on our culture and civilization nor can we stay numb to such scams.
Wikipedia must take accountability for what narratives it presents before the world, and what theories such distorted facts are based on.
