Kangana gets Y Grade Secu
Much to Maharashtra Government’s annoyance, Kangana Ranaut has been aided with Y-grade security cover from the central government in the light of continuous threats that she has been receiving ahead of her return to Mumbai. On the recommendation from Himachal Pradesh Government, the centre has agreed to provide the actress with the security against open threats from Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and others. Yesterday, the state government had announced security to the actress but has been brainstorming over ‘out of border’ concerns since Kangana is set to return to Mumbai in two days.

Bollywood actress Kangana has been receiving serious threats from days now asking her to not return to Mumbai, following which her family approached the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and requested for security cover. The state Govt. granted it to her keeping in mind that she would travel outside the state. However, the CM then appealed to the Centre to provide security to Kangana when she travels outside Himachal Pradesh and the Centre accepting the request has decided to provide Y-grade security to the actress.

Following the development, Kangana took to her social media handle to thank the Home Ministry for providing the privileged aid of Y-grade security. Addressing the Home Minister Amit Shah, she said that ‘due to the circumstances, had he wanted he could have advised me to go to Mumbai a few days later, but he kept the words of a daughter of India, respected our self-respect and self-respect.” Jai Hind, she added.

In a series of open threats against Kangana, Maharashtra's ruling party Shiv Sena has been targeting the actress from over a week now. Earlier on Monday, continuing its attack on Kangana Shiv Sena’s mouthpiece ‘Saamna’ called her a 'mental woman'. The editorial while trying to rake the insider versus outsider discrimination, said, “Mumbai is like now Pakistan occupied Kashmir (referring to Kangana's words), which is an insult to all the Marathi people and 106 Martyred soldiers who sacrificed for Mumbai. This will not be tolerated if an outsider actress, who achieved everything from Mumbai, insults and speaks wrong about Mumbai. This act must be condemned in the state legislature," the editorial read.

While calling upon the opposition parties to support the Maharashtra government's decision to restrict Kangana's entry in Mumbai, the editorial continued saying that “Opposition parties need to express the confidence in Anil Deshmukh, the Mumbai Commissioner of Police and the entire police force during the (Monsoon) session. Those who are calling the Mumbai Police 'a Mafia', should be investigated. One should stop insulting our forces."

Maharashtra-ruling party, Shiv Sena’s leaders are one after another attacking Kangana almost every day and wide openly. First MP Sanjay Raut over the days threatened the actress not to return to Mumbai after her PoK remark. Sanjay Raut even used derogatory remarks against the actress while threatening her, although he was then brutally trolled over social media by netizens standing with Kangana thick and strong.

However, his threat further found support in Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s statement who added that Kangana had no right to live in Mumbai after her comments against the Mumbai Police. Besides Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik also threatened Kangana that if she comes to Mumbai in the future and anything happens to her then Shiv Sena 'will not be responsible.' He even threatened to slap sedition charges on Kangana.

Despite all such threats and verbal attacks on her, Kangana has announced that she is returning back to Mumbai on Sept 9 and has dared the Shiv Sena to try and stop her if they can. Quoting Sanjay Raut’s threat, the actress slammed the leader for his misogynistic remarks and verbal abuses against her and publicly shamed him over social media yesterday.

Kangana has also been giving befitting reply to Shiv Sena leaders as and when required while reminding netizens of her struggle in Mumbai and citing her love for Maharashtra as much as for Mumbai.
