In two strategic moves against Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut and Republic Tv owner Arnab Goswami, Maharashtra Government has on one hand issued notice to Kangana through BMC for illegal construction, extension and alternatives, and is also preparing to question her in connection with drugs based on an old interview while, on the other, has tabled privilege motion against Arnab for allegedly insulting CM Uddhav Thackeray. Utterly disturbed over Kangana and Arnab’s free-spirited remarks and harsh opinions, Maharashtra Government has decided to besiege both with official stratagem by all means possible.
Shiv Sena legislator Partap Sarnaik has moved breach of privilege motion against Republic Tv founder Arnab Goswami in the assembly for the language used against Sharad Pawar, CM Uddhav Thackeray, in many of his debate shows. “On the name of independent media, he has tried to malign the image of CM Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar and others so I demand that strict action must be taken”, said Partap Sarnaik.
While supporting Partap Sarnaik over allegations against Arnab, his colleague and Maharashtra Cabinet Minister who is also known as Shiv Sena’s “mastermind”, Anil Parab alleged that “he himself thinks he is a judge the way he uses words against CM Uddhav Thackeray ji and Sharad Pawar ji. So, action must be taken against him, this house has the power to make a law to protest journalists so we can also take action against such journalists who used derogatory words against the minister”, said Anil Parab.
Although, such allegations might not find any place between people who are religiously following every single update shown on the Republic Tv news channel and are also an ardent fan of Arnab Goswami for his bold debate shows and courageous take on anti-national powers.
Shiv Sena’s conspired actions against Kangana Ranaut
On the other hand, miffed over Kangana Ranaut for a number of reasons the ruling party Shiv Sena has now prepared itself to trap the very outspoken Kangana Ranaut in whatever way possible. Maharashtra Government through Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued notice to the actress for ‘illegal’ construction in her Mumbai office at Pali Hill in Bandra West.
BMC officials have alleged that there is an illegal extension in her office, and a team from the Building Proposal department has inspected the premises to check the deviations from approved plans. As per the authorities, Ranaut's office is listed as a residential property in their records. Noticeably, severe action comes in the wake of spat between Ranaut and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut.
A team of BMC officers from the H-west ward (Bandra) visited Ranaut’s office at Pali Hill in Bandra west on Tuesday morning to hand over the notice. However, the staff present there refused to accept the copy following which civic staff pasted it outside her office. The notice was issued a day after BMC officials visited her office. The notice is issued under the section 354(A) of Mumbai Municipal Corporation (MMC) Act, to stop the ongoing work inside the premises and produce the permissions for the illegal constructions. The BMC has given actor 24-hrs time to file a reply with documentary evidence.
Kangana had purchased this bungalow in 2017 and she had done renovation in January this year. As per the authorities, Ranaut’s office is listed as a residential property in their records. Reacting to the notice, she tweeted, “Because of the criticism that @mybmc received from my friends on social media, they didn’t come with a bulldozer today instead stuck a notice to stop leakage work that is going on in the office, friends I may have risked a lot but I find immense love and support from you all.”
Additionally, Shiv Sena IT Cell has also filed a complaint at Shrinagar Police station in Thane against Kangana Ranaut seeking FIR against her under ‘charges of sedition for her Pakistan occupied Kashmir’ remark. This is apart from sedition charges that the party has laid upon her. And the list of such allegations is only multiplying to nab the actress anyhow.
Kangana has proceeded to Mumbai from her hometown Manali today and in view of open threats to her from Shiv Sena leaders and others, the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday provided Y-grade security to the actress. Following the move, Shiv Sena led Maharashtra Government is even more distressed and thus a dual attack.
Kangana might be also questioned soon as she reaches Mumbai based on an old interview by actor Adhyayan Suman, who had back then named Kangana for allegedly using drugs. Meanwhile, think of it as the annoyance of Shiv Sena or merely an act of revenge, but quite clearly the Government of Maharashtra is right now totally perturbed by fiery speakers, be it Kangana or Arnab Goswami.
