2639 government jobs provided under PMDP, while 25,000 crore investments received by J&K: MoS Nityanand Rai informed

Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai on Tuesday informed the Lok Sabha that as many as 2,639 government jobs have been provided to Kashmiri migrants under Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP), 2015.
He also said that the government has approved construction of 6,000 transit accommodation for Kashmiri migrant employees engaged or to be engaged in different departments of the government of J&K in the valley. Further, he said the government of J&K has launched a portal on September 7, 2021 to address the grievances of Kashmiri migrants.
" 2,639 government jobs have been provided to Kashmiri migrants under Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP), 2015," he said in written reply.
The government of India reimburses the expenditure incurred by the government of Jammu and Kashmir on providing the following facilities to the eligible Kashmiri migrants settled in Jammu, he said.
The minister further said the J&K administration has reported receiving investment proposals to the tune of Rs 64,000 crore so far, out of which Rs 25,000 crore has already been received.
Rai, while replying said Rs 840.55 crore investment had come in 2017-18, Rs 590.97 crore in 2018-19, Rs 296.64 crore in 2019-20, Rs 412.74 crore in 2020-21 and Rs 376.76 crore in 2021-22.
