It's Imran Khan Vs Pakistan Army; Fawad Choudhary spills the beans over Imran Khans's relations with Pakistan army

 

"Now what would you regret when the bird ate the field", making use of this proverb for Fawad Chowdhury(former federal minister in Imran Khan led PTI Govt.of Pakistan) won't be wrong. After losing the no- confidence vote and the regime, the former minister in a tv interview apparently confessed that relations between Imran Khan led PTI and Paki army were not good. He said, if the relations were good, we would still be in power.

 

 

 

Though his disclosure isn't new to anyone since the rift between Imran Khan and Paki army chief Gen.Bajwa was well known throughout but still both never admitted the ongoing cold war publicly. Well, it's not a hidden thing to know that it's only the Paki army who call the shots in Pakistan whether it's the Prime Minister's selection or removal and as far as Imran Khan is concerned, he has always been seen as a selected PM and one who can select can reject too.

 

Choudhary admitted that though he alongwith his partymen tried to fix the split but nothing could work and eventually it was the two pillars of establishment i.e Judiciary and Army in Pakistan who suffered the most in the ongoing tussle between Imran Khan and Paki army. He didn't went into details that what led to the sourness of the relations but said it wasn't an overnight thing which clearly indicates that tussle between the two was going on for long time and erupted in the form of no-confidence vote against their government which led to the change of regime.

 

Some days back, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, former Home Minister in Imran Khan Govt. was also seen saying that "misunderstandings with military must b resolved" and acknowledged that Imran Khan led PTI and its allies have misunderstandings with the military establishment.

 

Recently, Pakistan army came under heavy criticism by the people after Imran Khan claimed that his govt. is being toppled by the opposition with the help of a United States of America, a claim army denied and said they don't see any foreign hand in this ongoing process following which Khan made an impression that even the Paki establishment is with the opposition on his removal. In country wide protests by the PTI supporters, slogans critical of the army were chanted. Slogans were also raised against judiciary and the new govt. of Pakistan. Sheikh Rasheed while clearing the air said that mutual misunderstandings between it's allies and army must b removed and army shouldn't b blamed or cursed.

 

In Pakistani history, no PM has ever completed his tenure. By one or another reason he is removed from the chair prior to his time. Imran Khan removed from the office eighteen months before his time something which was expected following his tussle with Paki army chief Gen.Bajwa. A claim Paki army keep denying but it resurfaces more stronger every time that no matter who is sitting on PM's chair in Pakistan, it's only the army who make the person sitting on the chair work as it wants. Until you are productive for them, you are there unless you are fired, something which happened with Imran Khan.
