CBI raids underway
 
CBI is conducting raids at 33 places in Jammu, Srinagar, districts of Haryana, Gandhinagar, Ghaziabad, Bengaluru, Delhi in connection with J&K Police Sub Inspector recruitment scam.
 
 
Raids are going on at the place of former J&K SSB chairman Khalid Jehangir and other accused including controller Ashok Kumar. Raids also being conducted at the premises of officials of J&K Police, DSP & CRPF.
 
 
Pertinent to mention here that on August 5, 2022, 30 places in J&K were raided by CBI regarding this scam and during the raids, they had recovered incriminating documents, devices, answer sheets, applications forms and OMR files which were very crucial to the case.
 
 
Prior to that, J&K LG administration had cancelled the SI recruitment examination conducted for 1,200 posts of Jammu and Kashmir Police following paper leakage allegations and investigation into this matter was handed over to CBI. The CBI after getting a complaint in this respect filed a case against 33 accused.
