Pakistani intruder shot dead along LoC in J&K’s Poonch

 

A Pakistani intruder was shot dead by Indian army along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Saturday.

 

The infiltrator was challanged by the troops guarding the Balakote sector in Mendhar sub-division when he was trying to infiltrate into this side from across the border but he paid no heed to the repeated warnings and tried to flee back when the troops opened fire, resulting in his death, the officials said.

 

 

During searches, an IED and narcotics was also recovered from the spot. Whole area has been cordoned off and searches are going on.
