Canada based Hardeep Singh Najjar, a designated Khalistani terrorists was shot dead at the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in the Punjabi-dominated Surrey city of Canada. He was the chief of Khalistani Tiger Force (KTF).
Najjar’s name was included in a list released by the Indian government, naming 40 other designated terrorist for his involvement in anti-India activities. In 2022, NIA declared a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on Najjar after he was accused of conspiring to kill a Hindu priest in Punjab’s Jalandhar.
Najjar’s death comes four days after another United Kingdom (UK) based Khalistani terrorist Avatar Singh Khanda, chief of the Khalistani Liberation Force (KTF) passed away at Sandwell hospital at Birmingham. Media reports claim he was suffering from blood cancer. Khanda was the master mind behind the violent incident at the Indian High Commission in London on March 19, 2023.
Khanda also known as Ranjodh Singh was a political asylum seeker in UK and played a significant role in radicalising Sikh youth in support of the separatist movement for Khalistan.
Earlier on May 6 2023, Paramjit Singh Panjwar, another known Khalistani terrorist and a leader of the Khalistani Commando (Force KCF) was killed by two unknown gunmen in Pakistani city of Lahore.
Paramjit Singh Panjwar also known as Malik Sardar Singh (63)was born in Taran Taran district of Punjab and was involved in reviving Sikh insurgency, drugs and weapons smuggling and murder. In 1990’s Panjwar took charge of KCF and crossed over to Pakistan and stayed in Lahore.
Panjwar had been operating from Lahore and was involved in arranging arms training for youths in Pakistan. He was engaged in supplying arms and ammunition and subsequent infiltration into India.
In 2022, Harvinder Singn Rinda, another Khalistani terrorist died in a Lahore Hospital allegedly of drug overdose. Though many say he is still alive and his death was mere an eyewash to fool the Indian authorities. Member of the banned Khalistani outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), he was involved in various terror cases and was a wanted terrorist carrying a bounty of Rs 10 lakh by the NIA.
In 2020, another Khalistani terrorist Harmeet Singh aka Happy `PhD’ was also killed in Pakistan’s Lahore. He was leading Khalistani outfit Khalistani Liberation Force.
