Soldier injured in Anantnag encounter succumbs, toll reaches 4

Encounter breaks out in Anantnag
 
Another soldier who was injured in the Kokernag encounter with terrorists in J&K’s Anantnag district succumbed to his injuries taking the toll to 4.
 
"One more army jawan succumb to his injuries, bringing the total number of casualties from the security forces to 4," said an official.
 
Earlier two army officers including a colonel and a major and a dysp of J&K Police were martyred on Wednesday during the encounter with terrorists in Kokernag forests of Anantnag district.
 
Search operation within the cordoned off area has commenced on third day today despite rains.
