BJP Removes Sitting MP Namgyal, Tashi Gyalson Awarded Ticket from Ladakh

The BJP has ended the suspense surrounding the MP ticket in Ladakh by not giving it to sitting MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and instead fielding Tashi Gyalson.

Ladakh will go for polls on May 20, 2024 and counting of votes will take place on 4 June, 2024.

Gyalson is the chairman-cum-chief executive councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council in Leh.

The reason for not giving the ticket to the sitting MP has not been disclosed yet, but it may have been decided based on the resentment observed among the people in Ladakh, where the party's sitting MP couldn't satisfy the locals.
