Incidents of violence against Hindus in Pakistan are reportedly on the rise. In various regions of the country, the desecration of temples has become a common occurrence. Recently, an incident from Tando Adam in Sindh Province came to light, where vandals attacked a Lord Ram temple, destroyed the premises, and took away idols of Lord Ram and other deities. They also stole a copy of the sacred Bhagavad Gita.
The incident is reported to have occurred on Friday night. It is said that the temple was locked from the outside, but the perpetrators broke through the wall of the temple to take the idols without breaking the lock.
A video documenting this incident was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by the Voice of Pakistan Minority handle. The vandals defaced the OM symbols written on the temple gate and took away the flags adorning the temple. Both the outer and inner walls of the temple were also damaged. It is said that the small Hindu community in the area has tried multiple times to build this temple, but their efforts have been thwarted each time.
