Three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces on Saturday in Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir. The police stated that a search operation was launched in Chak Tapper Kreeri, Pattan, late on Friday night.
The situation escalated into an encounter when the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, who then retaliated. The security forces kept the area cordoned off throughout the night, and the exchange of fire continued into the morning, leading to the neutralization of the terrorists.
Whereas two Indian Army soldiers were martyred, and two others were injured during an encounter with terrorists in Kishtwar yesterday. Following specific intelligence inputs, the J&K Police and the Indian Army launched a search operation, which led to contact with the terrorists. During the encounter, four soldiers were injured and were rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, two of them succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Martyred soldiers have been identified as Junior Commissioned Officer Naib Subedar Vipan Kumar and Sepoy Arvind Singh.
