Trump Warns Hamas: Release Hostages or ‘All Hell Will Break Out’

Donald Trump, who will officially take office as 47th President of the United States of America, on January 20, 2025, has warned Hamas to release all hostages held in Gaza. He has given a clear deadline, saying that if the hostages aren’t freed before he takes office, there will be serious consequences, adding, “all hell will break out.”

Trump stated that Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7 should never have taken place.

Hamas is currently holding around 101 hostages, including seven American citizens. Efforts to negotiate their release have been slow, and both the current Biden administration and Trump’s team are working together to reach a deal in the coming weeks. Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, is traveling to Qatar to take part in talks aimed at resolving the issue.

The situation is complicated by growing international pressure on Israel. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken noted that such pressure sometimes causes Hamas to back away from agreements. Trump, however, has made it clear that his administration will prioritize Israel’s interests and take a hardline approach if needed.
