BJP names Devyani Rana, Aga Syed Mohsin for J&K Assembly Bypolls

Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday released its list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly by-elections in UT Jammu and Kashmir and three other states.

 

 

In Jammu and Kashmir, the party has fielded Devyani Rana from the Nagrota constituency and Aga Syed Mohsin from the Budgam constituency. Devyani Rana is the daughter of late Devender Singh Rana, who was the MLA Nagrota before he passed away last year.

 

 

 

The Budgam seat fell vacant following the resignation of Omar Abdullah, while the Nagrota seat became vacant after the demise of Devender Singh Rana.

 

 

Polling for both Nagrota and Budgam constituencies will be held on 11 November, with counting scheduled for 14 November.
