Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra to remain suspended from October 5 to 7 due to bad Weather

The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has announced the suspension of the Vaishno Devi Yatra from October 5 to 7, 2025, following an advisory from the Indian Meteorological Department about inclement weather. The yatra is scheduled to resume on October 8, 2025.

 

 

 

In view of the inclement weather advisory issued by the Indian Meteorological Department, Vaishno Devi Yatra shall remain suspended from 5th to 7th October 2025 & will resume on 08/10/2025.

This decision has been taken on the Katra to Bhavan route due to the risk of landslides. The board has also appealed to pilgrims to postpone their journey until the weather improves.

 

Authorities have urged devotees to follow official updates and avoid travelling during this period to prevent any accidents or disruptions caused by adverse weather conditions.
