FC Headquarters Hit by Suicide Attack in Pakistan’s Peshawar; 3 Officials Killed

The Frontier Constabulary (FC) headquarters in Pakistan’s Peshawar came under attack on Monday when a suicide bomber blew himself up at the main gate. The explosion was followed by heavy gunfire as security forces rushed to respond.
 
According to security officials, three FC personnel were killed, while two others were injured in the attack. The blast also caused damage to nearby buildings, shattering windowpanes and spreading panic in the area. The FC headquarters of the force is located in one of the busiest parts of Peshawar, capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
 
 
 
Hospital authorities confirmed that five people, including civilians, were brought wounded to the hospital for treatment. Emergency teams and bomb disposal units reached the spot immediately after the attack.
 
 
 
Security forces later stated that three terrorists involved in the attack were killed during the clearance operation that followed.
 
 
 
The FC, a key paramilitary force in Pakistan, has faced a rising wave of attacks in recent months, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan. However, no group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack but the TTP have been blamed for such attacks in the country.
