The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out several raids early Monday across J&K in connection with the car blast that happened near Delhi’s Red Fort.
Officials said that searches were going on at different places linked to suspects in Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports, the NIA searched eight locations in Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam districts. These raids are part of the investigation into a “white-collar” terror module that was behind the Delhi car blast.
One of the main places searched was the home of Moulvi Irfan Ahmad Wagay in Shopian. Officials said Wagay is suspected to be the mastermind who radicalised and recruited members of this module. He was arrested by the police in October, and the NIA took him into custody last month.
The car blast near Red Fort had killed 15 people and injured several others. The investigation is still going on.
