The 45-day-long religious gathering, Mahakumbh 2025, concluded on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri on Wednesday. The grand event, which began on January 13, witnessed a record-breaking turnout of devotees from across the country and the world.
 
 
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in a post on X, highlighted the scale and significance of this year’s Mahakumbh. He wrote:
 
 
“The ‘Maha Yagya’ of humanity, the grand festival of faith, unity and equality, #MahaKumbh2025, organised under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi is moving towards its culmination today with the holy dip of #Mahashivratri. In 45 days, starting from 13 January, Paush Purnima, till today 26 February, Mahashivratri, more than 66 crore 21 lakh devotees have received the benefit of bathing in the holy Triveni. This is unprecedented in world history - unforgettable…”
 
 
The Uttar Pradesh government had made elaborate arrangements for security, cleanliness, and transportation to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. In just 45 days, over 66 crore devotees visited Mahakumbh 2025, making it a historic and spiritual spectacle like never before.
