Delhi saw a voter turnout of 60.42% in the important assembly elections on Wednesday, according to the Election Commission of India. Voters from all 70 constituencies participated actively in the polls.

Among the 11 districts, North East had the highest turnout at 66.25%, while South East had the lowest at 56.16%. The voting for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections ended at 6:00 pm on Wednesday.

Most exit polls suggest that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to form the next government in Delhi, with Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) trailing behind, and Congress continuing to perform poorly.

The P-MARQ poll suggests BJP will win 39-49 seats, AAP 21-31, and Congress 0-1 seat. Matrize predicts a close contest with BJP securing 35-40 seats and AAP 32-37, while Congress may win one seat. People’s Pulse indicates BJP could win 51-60 seats, with AAP getting 10-19 and Congress none.

The People’s Insight poll forecasts BJP to win 40-44 seats, AAP 25-29, and Congress 0-1. JVC also predicts BJP to win 39-45 seats, AAP 22-31, and Congress 0-2. Chanakya Strategies expects BJP to win 39-44 seats, AAP 25-28, and Congress 2-3. Poll Dairy projects BJP with 42-50 seats, AAP 18-25, and Congress 0-2.

Finally, WeePreside predicts AAP winning 46-52 seats, BJP 18-23, and Congress 0-1 seat. These polls were released after voting ended on Wednesday.

AAP had dominated the last two elections in Delhi. In 2020, they won 62 out of 70 seats, while BJP got just eight. Congress, which had ruled Delhi for 15 years, didn’t win any seats in the last two elections.

The results will be announced on February 8, after the votes are counted.
