Three Pakistani terrorists have been killed in an ongoing anti-terror operation in the Chhatru area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district.
According to a statement by the White Knight Corps of the Indian Army, two terrorists were eliminated despite inclement weather conditions hampering operations. “In the ongoing operations at Chhatru, Kishtwar, despite bad and inclement weather, two more Pakistani terrorists have been eliminated. A large quantity of war-like stores including one AK and one M4 rifle have been recovered. Operations are in progress,” the Army said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
This statement comes a day after security forces gunned down another Pakistani terrorist on Friday, taking the total number of terrorists neutralized in the operation to three.
Security forces had launched the operation on Wednesday, based on intelligence inputs about the presence of heavily armed terrorists in the remote hilly area. After initial contact, terrorists managed to escape but contact was reestablished and after overnight search and cordon, three terrorists have been killed.
The operation remains active as forces continue combing the area for any remaining threats.
