Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board has given a job to Syed Nazakat Hussain Shah, the brother of Syed Adil Hussain Shah — the pony handler who lost his life while saving tourists during the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
On April 22, terrorists attacked a group of tourists in Pahalgam, killing 26 people. During the attack, Adil risked his life to protect the tourists and died while helping them escape.
To honour his bravery, the Waqf Board handed over an appointment letter to his brother on Friday. The Board said this was a small step to support the family and remember Adil’s sacrifice.
Waqf Board Chairperson Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi called Adil a real hero who showed courage and humanity even in such a dangerous situation.
