Three Soldiers Killed as Army Vehicle Falls into Gorge in J&K’s Ramban

In a tragic road accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district, three Indian Army soldiers lost their lives when their truck fell into a deep gorge near Battery Chashma on Sunday.
 
 
The army vehicle was part of a routine convoy heading towards Srinagar from Jammu. According to the Northern Command, “An army vehicle moving as part of a routine convoy on 04 May slid off the road & fell into a gorge near Ramban. All three Army personnel travelling in the vehicle succumbed to the injuries in this tragic accident.”
 
 
The truck skidded off the road and plunged about 300-400 metres down the hill. As soon as the accident was reported, teams from the police, SDRF (State Disaster Response Force), Army, and local residents rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
 
 
The dead soldiers have been identified as Amit Kumar, Sujeet Kumar and Man Bahadur. The bodies of the three soldiers were later recovered and taken to the District Hospital in Ramban.
