1990's kashmir- the time when the screams of people of hindu community was coming from every street,every locality in the area. The atmostphere was so fearful that people were leaving everything behind and becoming homeless. JKLF was targeting kashmiri hindu and they were forcing them to leave the valley
26 May 1990 central. goverment removed the governor Jagmohan and appointed RAW chief Girish chandra saxena as the new governor. Meanwhile the terrorists started publishing treathning advertisment for kashmiri hindu to leave the valley and paste hate posters on the walls of there homes.
Rajnath dhar-59 year old retired goverment offlicial living in the ali kadal area of srinagar was one of the few kashmiri hindu who refused to bow down to the threats of the terrorists. He lived in his ancestral house with his old aged mother,40 year old brother and 32 year sister. The terrorist were continously eyeing on dhar's property but he did not agree to leave his house and nor to leave in fear.
THE FEARFUL NIGHT- 30 JUNE 1990
That night only rajnath dhar was present with his old mother. Suddenly the terrorists entred his house and his mother continously begged for his son's life but the terrorists directly aimed the bullet at rajnath.
Rajnath fell on the ground his mother continously asked for help but unfortunately no one came and everyone remained silent. When he somehow was taken to hospital but it was too late. Due to late treatment he died.
JUSTICE IS TILL UNCOMPLETE TILL DATE
The police registered the case but the terrorist was nor caught neither punished. After this murder the fear spread among the hindus of kashmir valley. People left overnight and the rate of migration got itense. Which is the biggest wound to the democracy even today. Even today the stories of people like rajnath dhar reminds how the community was made in the country because of religion....
