Shri Amarnath Yatra 2025

More than 14,000 devotees have so far offered prayers at the sacred 3,880 metre-high Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas since the 38 day long annual pilgrimage began on July 3, officials said on Friday.

The yatra, which started from the twin traditional routes- Pahalgam in Anantnag district and Baltal in Ganderbal district, has been witnessing a heavy flow of pilgrims braving the tough terrain and weather conditions to seek the blessings of Baba Barfani.

On Friday morning, the third batch of over 6,400 pilgrims left from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu in two separate convoys under tight security arrangements. These yatris are now heading towards the Kashmir Valley to join the spiritual journey.

The pilgrimage will conclude on August 9, 2025. To ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the yatra, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has put in place elaborate security arrangements, including deployment of additional forces, surveillance systems, and round-the-clock monitoring.

Officials have urged pilgrims to follow all protocols and cooperate with the administration for a safe and peaceful yatra.
