Pakistan Airspace Ban on India Backfires Rs 127 Crore Lost in 2 Months

Closing its skies for Indian flights has backfired on Pakistan, costing it a whopping Rs 127 crore in just two months.

Pakistan’s decision to close its airspace for Indian flights after tensions escalated with India has backfired, causing heavy losses to the country itself. Pakistan’s Defence Ministry has revealed that shutting the airspace for Indian aircraft cost the nation nearly Rs 127 crore (4.10 billion Pakistani rupees) in just two months.

The ban disrupted commercial routes, reduced overflight revenue, and left Pakistan’s aviation sector counting heavy financial damage.

Instead of dealing a blow to India, the step turned into a costly miscalculation for Pakistan.
