Republic Day Parade 2026 to Celebrate 150 Years of ‘Vande Mataram’; Top EU Leaders to Be Chief Guests

The Republic Day Parade 2026 will be a special and grand event, blending 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’ with India’s growing military strength and rich cultural diversity.

 

 

The President of the European Council, Mr Antonio Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ms Ursula von der Leyen, will attend the celebrations as Chief Guests.

 

 

 

The parade will display India’s latest defence platforms, along with 30 colourful tableaux representing different states, Union Territories and themes. A grand flypast by 29 aircraft will add to the spectacle, while around 2,500 artists will present a massive cultural performance highlighting India’s heritage and progress.
